Watershot for iPhone App Reviews

App shuts down when i use the burst mode setting for iphone 4. Idk if its having a hard time saving the photos which causes it to shut down or if its the burst mode setting. Please fix!

We were impressed with the Watershot housing at the DEMA Show and placed an order for our dive shop. We bought one housing to try out while waiting for our first shipment. Ive tried the housing and app with my iPhone 4S, but the app doesnt work. Bounces me out of the app every time I push the shutter button, and no photos are viewable in playback mode. Not sure how comfortable I am marketing this product to our customers when I cant get it to work for me.

The news functions advanced license required. You bought the cover and still have that but the app.

It works mostly fine with the underwater case but: 1. White balancing is essential for decent underwater pictures, but its absent from the app. 2. App is constantly trying to connect to Bluetooth, access Photostream which throws dialog boxes on the screen while user has no control of it underwater. Those dialogs should be thoroughly suppressed.

I bought the case for my trip to Hawaii. I tested it out at home and everything seemed to work and I was super stoked to use it in Hawaii. (Like, SUPER stoked.) Well, Im in Hawaii and the app wont work! Every time I take a picture the app quits (and DOESNT save the photo) and I have to take my phone out of the case and reopen the app...which isnt gonna happen when Im in the water. I tried reinstalling the app and updating my phone, but it still just quits over and over again. Incredibly disappointed because I missed a billion opportunities for awesome pictures. Shoulda got a GoPro. Ill be returning the case when I get home. :( I knew it was too good to be true.

Great housing and very responsive app able to take multiple photos if your in the surf. Add a way to playback videos while using the housing. Also add more camera functions like burst shot and slowmotion for iphone5s users.

After spending 200$ on their case with 2day shipping ordered on the 12/23 to get it in time for my vacation the finally it came on the 1/6 so no vacation photos. Only to find out that this company wants another 16$ to unlock features within their app which is the only app that works with the case. I feel so ripped off and would never have ordered the case if I would have known this before. Very disappointing experience.

How the hell do you purchase the in app features?????

I got this case for an upcoming trip to Mexico and was a little worried from some of the reviews, but I found that with about a half an hour of poking around got it to take videos and still shots. I got a message when trying to shoot a video that I had to wait until the last video was done saving before I could shoot again. I changed the setting for auto save to manual and that freed it up. So now everything works because I took the time to read the instructions.

I LOVE my watershot housing! This app drives me nuts when the prompt pops up wanting me to connect to Bluetooth. It. Is. Annoying. The app is completely useless when this happens and Im missing out on opportunities to capture awesome underwater moments. If I had been given a heads up about this, I wouldnt have gotten this housing and would have gone with another. Like I said, I love the housing and trust it completely, but its useless when Im underwater and I cant get rid of the pop up telling me to connect to Bluetooth.

Im surprised that other reviewers think you can use this housing & app effectively without reading HOW to do it. Yes, you need to download the basic app to do the basics with this iPhone housing. Yes, you really want to pay $1.50 for the Advanced app license. If youre like any other 21st century touch-screen user, youll realize that to use this app you need to touch the screen to use it. (Thus, the housing buttons.) So, push some buttons--like the "Watershot" button on the bottom left of the app screen. That will open a whole new world to you. Set up your settings, practice with the app, do the suggested housing test with a piece of tissue first, then get out into the water and enjoy!!

Good when its not crashing. Please look into this and fix ASAP!

The case is nice but having to but extras is a rip off when they are selling $150+ case. Its also ridiculous that the extras are license (1 year) instead of permanent. BS like that makes want to never due business with these guys again. Critical: Dose NOT support left hand shooting, so you cant under mount your unit on a tray to use this housing. Weird, its part of apply ui design specs to allow any rotation but they quite clearly broke it here. Maybe they will try and sell left hand use as feature since they are mickle and dimeing their customers anyway....

Case + touchscreen = read the directions. The app and case work as advertised. Read the tips, was taking pics snorkeling and diving in 10min. App could improve but live the case the app has some great core features: photo, burst photo, video and sleep mode. Thats all I need. I LOOK forward to the next update to make use if the mystery unused 4th button!! Great to see the product is looking forward!

I cant say enough warning on font but the housing because the app is SO bad that it didnt allow me to take ANY photots without first making me open my camera housing to get to the camera to clear the fact that pushing their housing buttons- in the app- take you away from Camera. I went to Mexico and did not take one underwater photo after having to leave the water 3x!!! To open the housing while soaking wet. Seawater. I dont think so. Returned and never buying again. This app is just remarkably useless.

The three image burst works alright, however there is a slight delay before the three shots begin. When taking high resolution action shots I find it difficult to get the timing precise. If there were a continuous burst setting available it would make the app far more versatile...

You are not able to delete photos within the app. This is so frustrating!!!

Just snorkeled in Hawaii saw a bunch of fish and turtles... The video would have been about 10 minutes long and would have been absolutely beautiful... The timer was moving and little video recording red light flashing but it did not save... Horrible software

I love it, great and a lot of fun but when ever battery popups come... I cannot get rid of them unless I take of the case.... That needs to be fixed.

The app was working fine for the most part, but then I started a video and when I tried to stop the recording, it wouldnt stop!! The picture taking works fine but I miss being able to take videos.
